Le lendemain de notre arrivée en Bulgarie, notre défi consistait à présenter en anglais notre proposition de workshop (avec teaser) devant une salle de 600 étudiants et tuteurs européens.
La proposition essentielle de notre workshop était d’envisager le lettrage en relation avec la lumière et la ville. Le nom de notre workshop : « LiGHTYPE ».
Le 1er jour réel de notre workshop a eu lieu ici dans la cours du FABLAB à Veliko Tarnovo.
Après un cours de 3/4 d’heure-1h d’échanges et de présentations sur différentes familles de typographies ainsi que des référentiels de différents projets de design typographiques (modular typo/food typo/found object/optic illusion/butterfly cocoon project/Beautiful with knife project/Fab example), nous avons demandé aux participants d’écrire leurs noms avec des végétaux récupérés ensemble en se baladant à Veliko le matin même.
The day after our arrival in Bulgaria, our challenge consisted of introducing our proposal of workshop in English, in front of a room of 600 European students and tutors.
The essential proposition of our workshop was to envisage lettering in association with lighting and the city. Our workshop’s name was « LiGHTYPE ».
The first true day of our workshop took place here, in the courtyard of the FABLAB at Veliko Ternovo.
After a lesson of almost an hour consisting of exchanges and presentations about various typographical families and referentials from several projects of typographical design (modular typo/food typo/found object/optic illusion/butterfly cocoon project/Beautiful with knife project/Fab example), we asked the participants to write their names with plants that we had collected together during a walk through Veliko in the morning.
